We have clinically tested KOIOS beverages using state of the art neurofeedback brain imaging. qEEG, or brain mapping, uses sensors to measure the electrical activity within our client’s brain. This allows us to see a baseline assessment unique to each client. With this information, we can usually see the root of any symptom or challenge they may be facing in their day-to-day life.
When comparing the general summary information figures 1 and 2, there are three main components that are noted. The first being a decrease in slow activity (delta and theta). For many, a decrease in slow activity can lead to quicker thought processes, better energy, sharper focus and an overall sense of mental clarity. The second finding is the increase in alpha. An increase in alpha will be important for many people as it is the brainwave responsible for homeostasis (an idling rhythm, or state of “normal”). In faster states of alpha, it is also associated with a peak alpha frequency (this will be discussed later) which can be linked with overall intelligence. The third finding is the increase in fast activity (beta and high beta). This brainwave is needed to feel alert, focused, and motivated. Seeing an increase in this brainwave could have many implications relating to the overall drive and energy of a person that might lack beta and is a very positive finding.
Memory, Focus and required for the formation of the mood-boosting neurotransmitter serotonin and dopamine.
Regulating mood, preventing mental fatigue, needed for the brain to produce serotonin (feel-good neurotransmitter).
Healthy fat, C8 and C10 caprylic acid. MCT’s are very quickly converted into energy to fuel your bain and body. Because it’s a healthy fat, MCT’s help assist in burning the bad fat.
Cognitive enhancer, supports healthy mood, supports memory. Works as a neuromodulator – helps maintain healthy levels of neurotransmitters in the brian. Helps protect the brain from toxins and stress . Supports healthy circulatory system/allows for more blood flow.
Enhances memory. Naturally present in the body. Protects the brain against brain-aging. Energy booster. Mental stamina.
Amino acid derivative compound that is fat soluble and found in high amounts in the brain.
Eleuthero Root (Ginseng)
Increases endurance/stamina. Helps alleviate fatigue.
Hericium Erinaceus (Lion’s Mane)
Helps alleviate anxiety. Improves cognitive function. Anti-fatigue and anti-aging properties. Decreases inflammation. Acts as an anti-oxidant. Stimulates the immune system. Proven to increase NGF (Nerve Growth Factor) . It’s said that lion’s mane mushroom is one of nature’s most powerful brain foods because it helps stimulate nerve growth factor (NGF) production (1). NGF is a neuropeptide that helps maintain neurons, which are the cells responsible for helping your brain process and transmit information. So, whether you need to study for an exam, write a paper, or focus better at work, the neurotrophic benefits of lion’s mane mushroom can help. One study showed that lion’s mane was effective for significantly improving cognitive function in those with mild cognitive impairment when taken for at least 4 weeks (3). Another study also demonstrated that lion’s mane can help preserve photographic and short-term memory (1).
Strong anti-oxidant. Protects the nerves from stress. Reduces inflammation. Helps restore acetylcholine – which promotes learning and memory functions in the brain.
Gamma Amino Butyric (GABA)
Strong neurotransmitter. Assists in reducing anxiety. Natural calming effect. Improves mood. Improves focus.
Memory enhancer. Acts as a stress reliever.
Memory enhancement and neuroprotective effects. Increases acetylcholine levels in the brain. Increases dopamine. Crosses the blood brain barrier and distributes throughout the brain. Quickly absorbed and distributed.
